  • In 2002, at the age of 20, he was performing his father’s songs on stage when he was spotted by producer Raju Mawani who called him to sing songs for his film ‘Mudda – The Issue’; Sumit made his debut as a playback singer with this film.
  • In Mudda, Sumit lent his voice to two songs, ‘Deewangee,’ and ‘Kaise Main Kahoon.’
  • In 2004, he lent his voice to the ‘Bandhane Lagi’ song of ‘Naach’ (2004) film starring Abhishek Bachchan.
