Tajdar alleged that Manish Malhotra cannot make a film based on his mother’s life without his consent and advised Kriti Sanon, who is set to portray Meena Kumari in the film, to refrain from portraying her on screen to safeguard the legendary actress’ reputation. • Tajdar Amrohi’s mother, Mehmoodi, passed away on 9 April 1982 in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh.

• Tajdar Amrohi is married to Niloufer Amrohi, who is the sister of actor Mazhar Khan.
