• Umanga Kumawat hails from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

• While studying at St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Bhopal, she was a district level badminton player. Along with that she was also interested in running, paintings and fitness as well.

• After school, she pursed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Government Women Engineering College, Ajmer and Master’s degree in Computer Networking from ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior.

• After completing her education, Umanga entered the technology sector and eventually joined Google, where she works as a Strategic Cloud Engineer in Bengaluru.

• In November 2025, she was promoted to Cloud Engineer II at Google.

• Apart from her regular work, she has contributed technical articles to the Google Cloud Community, writing about technologies including Cloud Run, Generative AI and Vertex AI.

• Umanga has earned the Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification.

• Alongside her technology career, Umanga developed an interest in beauty pageants.

• In an interview, Umanga revealed that during her preparations for pageantry, she reduced her weight from 72 kg to 58 kg through strict workout.

• In August 2026, Umanga Kumawat represented Madhya Pradesh at the Miss Universe India 2026 national pageant in Jaipur and secured place in the Top 20 among 52 contestants.

• Umanga came into news for returning after one of her Instagram reels went viral in which she shared her routine at the Google Bengaluru campus, including her work, gym session and evening tea.
