• On 4 May 2026, V.S. Babu won from Kolathur, defeating Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)’s M.K. Stalin. In the election Babu received more than 82,000 votes, Stalin, who held the seat since 2011, got around 73,000. All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK)’s R Santhanakrishnan stood in the third position with 14,000 votes.
