- He had a deep passion for acting since he was a child. He started performing in theatre plays with Sangeet Samiti, Civil lines, Allahabad, during his college days.
- In 1989, he relocated to Delhi and got associated with a theatre group named Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts.
- After making his television debut with the television series ‘Dera’ (1992), he appeared in the television series ‘Shesh Prashna’ in 1993.
