In 2018, she was detained by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) for defrauding the Indian film financier Vashu Bhagnani of Rs 31.6 crore and was charged under sections 420 (cheating) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC.   • Her father is a film producer, who established KriArj Entertainment, a production house in 2016, with Arjun N. Kapoor who is their business partner. This production house ceased in 2018. She is the founder of the Mandiraa Entertainment.
