Controversy | Lawsuit within the family Baba Kalyani and his sister Sugandha Hiremath have been in a legal dispute over the shares of the family business since the 1990s. Sugandha claimed that Kalyani has not given her the ownership of the assets which were given to her by their father; however, Baba Kalyani refused all the claimes. In March 2024, Sugandha's children Sameer Jai Hiremath and Pallavi Anish Swadi filed a new lawsuit against Kalyani and other members of the Kalyani family to claim ownership on the assets of the Kalyani group. They asked the court to grant them their deserving shares in the family fortune or to sell the assets and give them the capital. [1]The Times of India |
