ControversiesCriticised for praising Narendra Modi's decision

In August 2019, after the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi removed the Article 370 from the Indian constitution, she praised Modi's decision and said that it was a historic step as this would help the residents of Jammu and Kashmir to mix with rest of the Indian public. Her comments were not well-taken by many Congress leaders who also requested High Command to take action against her.

Defying Congress orders

On 2 October 2019, she attended the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly program to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. She was one of the few opposition MLAs to attend the function as the opposition had boycotted the program. Later, the Congress Legislature Party leader Ajay Kumar Lallu issued a show cause notice to Aditi Singh for violating the party's decision.

Accusations against Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

In March 2024, she accused Priyanka Gandhi Vadra of trying to defame her through her ex-husband, Angad Singh Saini. She claimed that Vadra told Saini to talk bad about her character if he wanted a seat from Congress before the 2022 Punjab Assembly Legislative elections.
