• Rahul Vijay was very active in co-curricular activities in his school days and won various prizes.

• After completing his graduation, Rahul began working as a fashion editing intern at Harper’s Bazaar India in December 2011.

• He slowly rose up the ranks to become a Fashion Editor in the firm. He worked there till December 2016.

• He moved to Mumbai in 2017 and began working as a Fashion Editor at ELLE India. A year later, he was promoted to the position of Senior Fashion Editor. As Senior Editor, he led a team of three stylists and styled covers and fashion editorials alongside editing shopping pages for the publication. He worked there for two years and left the organisation in September 2019.

• He then worked at GQ India as Senior Fashion Editor from September 2019 to January 2021. As a Senior Fashion Editor, Rahul was responsible for styling covers and fashion editorials.

• From February 2021 to January 2023, Rahul worked as a Senior Fashion Editor at Tata CLiQ.

However, later, a source close to Malaika refuted the rumours and said that Malaika was single. The rumours began after Rahul Vijay put an Instagram story featuring him with Malaika Arora at AP Dhillon‘s concert in Mumbai. He captioned the story,
  

  Wait, was it a Malaika concert?”

  The source said,

  Please check your facts. She is a single and happy woman. Rahul Vijay is her son Arhaan’s stylist, and therefore a friend. It ends there. This rumour is just plain ridiculous and bizarre.”
