Dharam Singh Chhoker along with his son Sikander Chhoker and Vikas Chhoker are linked with a major controversy involving a 360 crore real estate scam, that is linked to his family company, M/s Sai Aaina Farms Pvt. Ltd. Chhoker and his sons collected money from around 3,700 homebuyers for an affordable housing project in Gurugram, but they failed to deliver the flats, and inflating construction costs with fake invoices and diverting the funds for personal gain.
The Enforcement Department (ED) raided multiple properties worth rupees 44 crore of them and seized luxury cars, cash, and jewellery. The ED department also recovered evidences of money laundering using fake construction bills. His son, Sikander was arrested in April 2024, Dharam Singh and Vikas remian adsconded. Sikander was reportedly seen moving freely outside the jail under the pretext of hospital treatment, and even took part in political campaigning.
