Dr. Waghmare has a distinguished educational background. He completed his MBBS at Grant Medical College in Mumbai, followed by an MD in General Medicine from Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai. He further specialized in Cardiology, earning a DM degree from the Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGME&R), Kolkata.

In his early career, Dr. Waghmare served as a House Surgeon in the Department of Surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, from January 2009 to April 2009.

In 2012, he won the ECHO-based case presentation competition at the Annual Eastern Zonal ECHO Conference (EZECHO) held in Kolkata.
