  • He was born in Dungra Village but they settled in Roorkee because his father worked there for 30 years as an army officer. Akash’s father died in 2010 at the age of 57.

  • In 2022, he was bought by Mumbai Indians as a replacement player for Suryakumar Yadav who suffered an injury in his forearm. He was bought by the team for Rs. 20 Lakhs but did not get a chance to make his debut in the 2022 season of the tournament.
  • He made his IPL debut in 2023 after Riley Meredith was unable to play due to an injury. On 4 May 2023, in an IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings, he gave 12 runs in the 18th and 9 runs in the 20th over.
