Anjali was a student of martial arts and advanced mountaineering.

Anjali’s passport was stolen from the Frankfurt airport when she went there to play in the World Cup Finals in 2002.

Anjali came to know about shooting in the NCC, she was 21 when she got into MRA (Maharashtra Rifle Association).

Anjali was chosen for shooting in the National Championship of 1988 due to the lack of female candidates; she won a silver medal in the competition despite being unfamiliar with the shooting field.

She has set 13 new records in international competitions and has won 31 gold, 23 silver, and 7 bronze medals in her international career.

She has won 55 Gold, 35 Silver and 16 Bronze medals in national competitions, with 8 new records.

Anjali’s professional journey started in 1988 when she participated in the National Championships.
