- Anoop Kumar was an Indian actor who predominantly worked in Bollywood. He was one of the Ganguly Brothers trio who earned a name in acting in the 20th century.
- Anoop’s elder brother, Ashok Kumar, was an actor and singer, and his younger brother, Kishore Kumar, was a legendary playback singer of the 20th century.
- In his 20s, Anoop was learning classical music. It is said that he is the only one among three brothers who earned a professional education in classical music. His other two brothers, Ashok and Kishore, learnt music on their own without any professional course.
