- Anwesshaa is an Indian playback singer, songwriter, composer, and author.
- She grew up in Virar city, and at the age of 3, she moved to Kolkata along with her parents.
- Her parents noticed her singing skills when she was very young, and they provided her with the best possible training in music. Anwesshaa considers her parents her first mentors in music.
- At the age of 4, she started training under musician Shri Jayant Sarkar, a notable disciple of Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty. Anveasshaa learned the basics of Hindustani classical vocals from him.
- In 2000, Anwesshaa performed on ETV Bangla. In 2002, she was one of the finalists of the TV show ‘Tarana’ on ETv Bangla (now Colors Bangla).
- When she was 13 years old, she got an opportunity to meet Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
- In 2004, she won a talent hunt completion at the Calcutta School of Music.
