  • Hanut Singh was raised in a rich family as he was born into the first Kapurthala royal family.

  • Hanut was just 4 years old when he got interested in jewellery.
  • He was never formally trained and Hanut’s jewellery education began from the time he was a child as he is a descendant of the Kapurthala royal family which was also famous for its style of jewellery, and inheritance.
  • Hanut’s career started in 2001 with writing for fashion magazines like L’officiel and Elle.
  • In 2003, he professionally started designing jewellery and gave up his fashion magazine job.
  • He borrowed some money from his family and decided to create his first collection of jewels, made from abalone and baroque pearls.
  • Hanut’s first jewellery collection was made for Jaisinh Jhala who was the associate professor of Anthropology at Temple University College of Liberal Arts in Philadelphia. He belonged to the royal family of Dhrangdhara.
  • Hanut Singh takes his jewellery design inspiration from historic architecture, travel memories, his royal lineage, his love of nature, and his connection and belief in god.
  • After completing a few years in his business, Hanut Singh’s astrologer told him to wear diamonds so he designed some organic rings and a bracelet for himself.
