• Leeza attended boarding school because her parents were getting a divorce, and she couldn’t decide with whom she wanted to live.

• Leeza went to study at Columbia University on a scholarship.

• While Studying in New York, Leeza also attended acting classes at Lee Strasberg.

• Leeza was a resident advisor in college, which meant she was responsible for student life on a designated floor in a residence hall. Her responsibilities included conducting consent training workshops and educating her peers about safer sex practices. She even distributed bags of free condoms to students by hanging them on their doors, ensuring that they had safe and easy access to protection.

• After graduating, Leeza moved to Mumbai to work in films, TV, and digital media. After spending almost a decade in Mumbai and with her work becoming more focused on digital media and social media, she moved back to Goa in 2022.

• Lezza has worked as a newscaster and reporter for a brief period. She has also worked as a field reporter for Indian Super League.

• Leeza began posting videos about sex education on YouTube in 2017 in English as back in 2017 Instagram was not much video oriented.

• Leeza’s parents were in support of her content from the start and they had always been open about awkward or taboo topics.

• Leeza is not a medical expert and does not give personalized advice. He creates content for public awareness.

• In 2018, Leeza made content creation on YouTube and Instagram as a full-time occupation.

• After making content in English, during the Covid-19 lockdown she started to make content in Hindi as well.

• In 2021, Leeza initiated her podcast titled “Love Matters,” which was produced by The Indian Express and Deutsche Welle. In December 2021, she launched a Hindi sex education podcast called “The Sex Podcast with Leeza Mangaldas” on Spotify.

• In 2022, Mangaldas created Leezu’s, a sexual health company that distributes massagers and lubricants.

• In October 2022, Leeza authored her first book titled “The Sex Book: A Joyful Journey of Self-Discovery,” in collaboration with Harper Collins. Additionally, an audio version of the book was made available on Audible as well.
