  • His father was a professional cricketer who played in Jakarta for Hong Kong Super Sixes but moved to India to provide better cricket facilities and opportunities to his son. In an interview, while talking about his background, he said-:

    A month after being born in Chennai, I moved to Indonesia because my father was working there. I was in Indonesia for the first nine years of my life. My father used to play for the Indonesian team and played in the Hong Kong Super Sixes. That’s how I developed an interest in cricket. When I started playing, I couldn’t bowl properly because I couldn’t bowl with a straight arm. Then my brother Bharat helped me to bowl with a straight arm. So, I am thankful to my family for all their support,”

  • On 22 November 2019, Manimaran Siddharth made his T20 debut for Tamil Nadu against Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. It was a memorable debut for him as he picked up a 4-wicket- haul in a four-over spell eliminating all top-order batsmen like Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Siddhesh Lad, and Suryakumar Yadav. Tamil Nadu secured a win by 9 wickets in that match.
  • Manimaran Siddharth picked up his second 4-wicket-haul against Jharkhand in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-2020. He picked up prized wickets of the player like Sumit Kumar, Utkarsh Singh, Anukul Roy, and Anand Singh in that match

  • Manimaran Siddharth was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2020 IPL auction at a base price of 20 Lakhs INR but wasn’t able to break into the side’s starting XI.
