ControversyHarassment case against Vikas Bahl: In 2018, Nayani Dixit opened up about being harassed by the Bollywood director Vikas Bahl during the shooting of the film ‘Queen’ (2014). In an interview, the actress revealed that Vikas Bahl behaved in an inappropriate manner with her on the film set. She further claimed that the director asked her to share a room with him when they stayed in a 2-star hotel in Delhi to shoot some scenes for the film. While talking about this in the interview, she said,

  • In an interview, the actress said that she dreamt of becoming a film star when she was a child; however, when she took formal training/education in acting from FTII, she realised that she wanted to become a method actor. While talking about this in the interview, she said,

    FTII was the place that really made me understand what acting was actually. I realized that I wanted to be an actor rather than being a heroine.”

  • Besides being an actress, Nayani Dixit is also a teacher. She teaches acting, modelling, speech and diction, and dance by conducting workshops across India. She has also conducted many workshops in Dubai and Bahrain.
  • The actress has worked as a guest faculty at FTII, Pune, and has also been a faculty at Anupam Kher’s academy Whistling Woods. Many celebrities including Karan Deol and Manushi Chillar have taken training from her.

    We not only train budding actors but also make an effort to promote Hindi as a language, as we might be making films in Hindi but Hindi as a language has degraded in Bollywood films. With my workshops I just want to make an effort to uplift Hindi as a language in Bollywood films.”

  • In an interview, she revealed that after working in the film ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ she was offered similar kinds of roles, therefore, she took a break from acting to avoid playing stereotypical roles for different projects. She said,

    After doing Kirti Kharbanda’s sister role in Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, I started getting offers of similar roles. As an actor I cannot afford to repeat myself.”

  • She has been appointed as a judge for various beauty pageants including Femina Miss India 2023, Mrs West India 2019, and Ms India Curvy 2018-19.
