- Nitish Kumar Reddy is an Indian cricketer. In February 2023, he was signed by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 20 Lakhs ahead of the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League.
- Reddy began playing cricket at the age of five and regularly visited the Hindustan Zinc grounds to watch cricket.
- His father, K. Mutyala Reddy, was a constant supporter of his ward. Later, he quit his job in Hindustan Zinc when he was transferred to Udaipur, Rajasthan; Mutyala was not convinced about the quality of training that Nitish would receive at his new workplace.
- While speaking about his father’s sacrifice, in an interview, the cricketer pointed out that his father was the first person who believed in him; his father, K. Mutyala Reddy, quit his job when Nitish was ten or twelve years old to help the cricketer build a professional career. He added that many of their relatives were upset with his father’s decision to quit the job; however, Mutyala stood by his choice.

- On 18 May 2023, Nitish made his IPL debut against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He bowled two overs at an economy of 9.50 but did not bat. Three days later, he was named to the playing eleven against the Mumbai Indians and bowled three overs at an economy of 11.67. Reddy took the catch of Rohit Sharma in the match and won the Herbalife Active Catch of the Match award.
