  • After finishing his schooling, Rafael Reyes, at the age of eighteen, partnered with his father to open Pokez, San Diego’s first vegan/vegetarian Mexican restaurant. They successfully operated the restaurant for 18 years; however, he sold his restaurant to his younger brother in 2005 after the death of his father.
