- Under the scheme of out-of-turn promotion, Seema Dhaka was promoted to the post of an Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) from the post of a head constable. On her promotion, she said,
I will be at a higher rank than my husband and my relatives are joking about it.”
- In an interview, while giving details of her mission to find the missing children, she said that the plan was incepted during the nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19, and she had to go through lots of challenges while travelling to different states like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. While talking about a raid that she led in West Bengal, she said,
It was my husband’s birthday but the thought that my efforts could lead to a child being found kept me going. Not many trains were running that day. The area was vast with Debra having 134 police stations. We managed to reach the village with the help of the state police after crossing two rivers. The child was finally found. I took him to a hotel, fed him and made him watch TV after which he narrated his ordeal.”
