• He lost his father when he was very young. It was his mother who raised him. She runs a women’s clothing store in Hyderabad.

• In 2010, he made his first-class debut for Hyderabad aged just 17.

• In 2012, he was part of the Indian squad that won the ICC U-19 World Cup.

• In 2013, he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 6th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was in Hyderabad’s squad from 2013 to 2015.

• In 2013, he had a dream match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he opened the bowling attack and dismissed Chris Gayle for just 1 run. He also scored an unbeaten 46 in the same match.
