ControversyLinked to Mahua Moitra 'Cash-for-Query' Row: In October 2023, Pinaki Misra landed in controversy after BJP's Odisha unit linked him to politician Mahua Moitra in the 'cash-for-query' case, where Moitra was accused of taking bribes from businessman Darshan Hiranandani to ask questions in Parliament targeting a rival business group. A leaked affidavit alleged Misra's close ties with Moitra, leading the BJP to demand a police probe and his removal from the party. Misra, however, denied the claims, calling them false and politically motivated. He also said he was considering taking legal action. [1]The Times of India
