  • On August 10, 2023, around 6 pm, Anuj Chaudhary was fatally shot outside his flat while on an evening stroll with his friend Puneet Chaudhary in Moradabad’s Parsvnath Pratibha Society. The incident involved three assailants on a motorcycle who fired at both Anuj and his friend.
  • In the attack, lasting about 20 seconds, Anuj sustained four gunshot wounds to his head, back, and shoulder. His friend also suffered a bullet injury. Anuj’s residence was located in Tower T-7, flats 401 and 402, within the Parsvnath Pratibha Society. Anuj was swiftly taken to a private hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him deceased.

  • His family asserted that his murder was a result of political animosity, linking it to Prabhakar Singh, the spouse of Asmoli Block Head Santosh Devi, along with Santosh’s son Aniket, and individuals named Amit Chaudhary from Bhawalpur Wasli and Pushpendra from Sambhal. Anuj had reportedly defeated Pushpendra in the Panchayat election. An FIR against these individuals was lodged at Majhola Police Station in connection to the murder.

  • During police investigations, it was uncovered that the assailants entered the Society approximately 20 minutes prior to the murder through gate number 2. The security guards on duty, namely Manak Singh and Deepak, neither halted them nor recorded their information.
