Controversies	• In 2016 & 2017, an FIR was filed by Abhishek Shukla from Ahmedabad with Ahmedabad Crime Branch & a direct complaint to Mumbai Police Commissioner with no 69954 to investigate the real identity of Grandmaster Shifuji, who claims to be the trainer for elite Indian army. He also filed an RTI against him at various defence departments of India. In return, he received a report from the Indian Navy about not having any person with the name Grandmaster Shifuji Shourya Bhardwaj in their department as a marine commander or as a marine commander trainer. After which, Shifuji made a few videos saying that he never said that he was in the army as a commander. He also said that the questions asked in RTI were wrong so how can you expect correct answers. Whom so ever he trains is well known to the armed forces it is not something to be discussed & brought in social media and public domain they are covered under few acts. • An FIR was also filed against him by Abhishek Shukla & Retired Major Ashish Chaturvedi for wearing some of the important badges, i.e., maroon beret, Marcos badge and Balidan insignia of Indian Defence, casually. These badges belong to the highest rank officers of the Indian Army. But he got a clean chit from the investigating team after a long investigation by a team of officers of Mumbai police under a senior police official of crime branch against complaint no 69954 to the commissioner of police on the 3rd of December 2016. • In Shifuji's 'Facebook' 'About' section, he has mentioned that he is the Brand Ambassador of MP. However, again an RTI was filed against him and in response, the General Manager of Madhya Pradesh Publicity Department clearly mentioned that Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department has never appointed any Brand Ambassador between the period of 1955 to 2016. RTI response by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Cyber investigation proves that the Facebook page mentioned above was managed by a fan club and claims were made by fans, not by Master Shifuji. But according to a video on YouTube, in which Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh announced Grandmaster Shifuji the Brand Ambassador of Madhya Pradesh on the 23rd January 2012 at TT Nagar Stadium Bhopal in front of former Chief of RSS KS Sudarshan.
