After receiving criticism, Gowda apologised to the CM. [1]India Today Making Derogatory Remarks Against A Politician In 2016, Gowda issued a controversial statement in which he called a fellow party member B. Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan to Tipu Sultan's disloyal General Mir Sadiq who betrayed Tipu in his war against the British East India Company.
