• Himani Kapoor was born and brought up in a middle-class family in Faridabad, Haryana.

• At the age of 5, she sang a devotional song at a religious event in her neighbourhood for the first time. Her parents then realised that she could become a professional singer after music training.

• In 2005, she participated in the Hindi singing reality TV show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Later, she accused the makers of the show of not paying her Rs 2 crore. In 2007, she filed a complaint against the makers of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa at the Singers’ Association. After which the shooting of the show was stopped for four hours.

• She has lent her voice to songs of various Hindi films like Dil Diya Hai (2006), Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019), and Satyaprem Ki Katha (2023).

• Apart from India, Himani has performed in stage programs in 20 other countries. She also did her world music tour with the Indian singer Himesh Reshammiya in 2007.

• On 8 March 2008, Himani Kapoor was honoured by the Indian politician Bhupinder Singh Hooda on behalf of the Haryana Government on International Women’s Day.
