  • In December 2011, Bumrah made his U-19 debut for Gujarat.

  • Bumrah is the 2nd fastest Indian bowler to take 100 wickets in the One Day Internationals after Mohammed Shami; he took 57 matches to achieve this feat.
  • Bumrah met his wife Sanjana Ganesan for the first time during the 2013 Indian Premier League in an interview.
  • During the 2015–16 Vijay Hazare Trophy, match umpires raised objections about Bumrah’s bowling action and referred to his bowling action as illegal.   • On 2 July 2022, he scored 29 runs in an over against the English bowler Stuart Broad, creating a world record for maximum runs off a single over in Test cricket. Bumrah surpassed Brian Lara‘s feat by one run who scored 28 runs against South African left-arm spinner Robin Peterson in a Test match in 2003-04.
