ControversyAccused of Raping a Girl: In March 2023, Khyali Saharan was accused of raping a 25-year-old woman in a hotel room in the Mansarovar area of Jaipur. On 14 March 2023, the woman filed a complaint against Saharan at the Mansarovar police station in Jaipur, stating that Khyali called her at the hotel on the pretext of helping her get a job. Based on the complaint, a case under Section 376 (punishment for sexual assault) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against Khyali. According to the police, Sharan had booked two rooms in a hotel on 13 March 2023, one for himself and the other for two women who met him around a month ago, asking for a help to get them a job. Apparently, in the evening, Saharan called the women to his room to talk about the matter and offered them beer. When the women denied consuming the beer, Khyali forcefully made them drink it. He himself was also drunk. Later, one of the women got a call from her husband and left the room after which Saharan immediately locked the room and raped the other girl. [4]Hindustan Times
