She also said that his MBA degree is not valid because, based on the information she got through an RTI request, there was no student by the name of Nishikant Dubey at Delhi University in 1993. Some Lesser Known Facts About Nishikant Dubey
- Nishikant got inspiration from his maternal uncle to be a politician. His uncle was the President of the Deoghar unit of the Jana Sangh Party. In 1975, during the emergency period, his uncle was jailed for 19 months. His father was also politically inclined and was a communist in his early days. [14]News18 India
- He was active in student politics. During his college days, he was a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) then he joined the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and ultimately became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He revealed that the Essar Group was supportive and there was no conflict of interest so it was easy for him to manage his political and professional activities altogether.
- Nishikant and Anamika have been friends since childhood and eventually, they fell in love. In 2000, when Nishikant was working at ESSAR and Anamika was studying at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), they decided to marry.
- In the 2009 and 2014 general elections, Nishikant defeated Furqan Ali of the Congress party by a huge majority. In 2019, he defeated the Pradeep Yadav of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik).
- Nishikant established a company called Online Entertainment Pvt Ltd and served on its board of directors. However, after he became an MP, he resigned from his director position. His wife, Anamika, took over his role as the director of Online Entertainment Pvt Ltd. In addition to Anamika, Nishikant’s brother, Sheshadri Dubey, and his sons are also members of the board of directors. Anamika is also the owner of Dhanya Bhooti Enterprises. Both these companies offer consultancy services and design supplies.
- After he was elected as an MP from the Godda constituency, he was a member of the finance committee from 2009 to 2014. Then, from 2014 to 2019, he was a member of the Public Accounts Committee.

- In 2023, he supported BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri, who had said offensive things about BSP MP Kunwar Danish Ali. He wrote a letter to Speaker Om Birla in which he said that while he didn’t agree with the words Bidhuri used for Danish Ali, it was Ali who had started the argument by saying inappropriate things about PM Narendra Modi. According to him, this is what made Bidhuri angry.
