Rakhee Gupta Bhandari served as the Additional Chief Administrator of the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) in Ludhiana from 2003 to 2004.

From 2007 to 2009, she served as the Director of the Social Security, Women’s Welfare, and Child Development Department in Faridkot, Punjab.

In 2008, she was then appointed as the Executive Director of the Punjab SC Land Development and Finance Corporation. She served in the position till 2009.

During the same time, Rakhee Gupta Bhandari was a Director of the SC and ST Development Department of Faridkot, Punjab.

In 2012, she received the Stree Shakti Puraskar, an annual award from the Ministry of Women and Child Development, for encouraging women to work in mainstream and public sector offices.

In 2013, Rakhee Gupta Bhandari completed her ‘International Negotiations and Local Public Service’ training in The United Kingdom.

In 2014, she received her ‘International Negotiations and Foreign Trade’ training in New Delhi.

In 2017, Rakhee Gupta Bhandari published a research paper titled ‘Contours of Security Cooperation between the US and India- The Homeland Security Dialogue’ to the National Defence College, New Delhi.

In 2020, she lent her voice to a devotional song titled ‘Main Toh Ratungi Radha Naam’ when she was posted at the Punjab Bhawan in New Delhi. Within a week, the music video of the song received 3.25 lakh views on YouTube.

In April 2020, she wrote a poem titled ‘This Too Shall Pass,’ expressing the stress and anxiety during COVID-19.

In 2022, Rakhee Gupta Bhandari was appointed as the Principal Resident Commissioner in Central Delhi.

In May 2024, Rakhee Gupta Bhandari lent her voice to the Punjabi song ‘Mahiya.’ The song was released at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar and recorded by the White Hill Music Company.
