- Saqib’s family is from Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. His father was born in England and his mother was born in Pakistan.
- Saqib’s playing style is often compared with Waqar Younis due to his bowling action, ability to bowl at a pace up to 90 mph, and use of reverse-swing and yorkers, especially during the death-overs.
- Saqib has been a member of Lancashire’s academy since 2012, and his debut for the senior team came in in 2015 in a T20 Blast encounter against Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
