• Saraswati Vaidya (1991-2023) was a resident of Mumbai who was allegedly killed and chopped into pieces by her live-in partner, Manoj Sane.

• After failing her 10th standard examinations, she dropped out of her school and subsequently, she relocated to Mumbai with the intention of finding employment.

• In 2008, she met Manoj Sane for the first time at a ration shop situated in the Babhai Naka area of Borivali. In 2015, they began residing together in the G Wing of the Geeta Akash Deep building located in Geeta Nagar Phase 7, Mira Bhayandar Road, Mumbai and lived there for five years until 2020.

Similar to the Shraddha Walker case, Manoj reportedly dismembered her body into multiple pieces and attempted to dispose of them before the police received a complaint; however, the police eventually discovered her decomposed remains on 7 June 2023.

• The dismemberment is said to have been carried out using a tile cutter machine and an electric chainsaw, after which the body parts were allegedly cooked in a pressure cooker. The police expressed suspicions that the case could be a result of domestic violence that escalated into murder.
