• In May 1997, he made a headstart to his career by joining Doordarshan, Broadcasting television network and worked there as a News Anchor, Radio Jockey, and Translator.

• He gained experience at Doordarshan for about 2 years and 9 months and then joined Sahara Samay as News Anchor-cum-Producer in January 2000.

• Sayeed gave 4 years to Sahara Samaya and then moved to ABP news (then Star-News).
