Controversies	Complaint against the makers of his father's biography In 2016, Radha filed a complaint against the makers of the film Vangaveeti (2016) for distorting the image of his father. The movie was based on the life of Radha's father, Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao, but in the film, the creators didn't know about the order of events in his father's life. It was clear that his father's name was just used to make money. In the complaint, he also mentioned that Mohana Ranga Rao and his associates were depicted as thugs and killers. [3]The Hindu Arrested for taking out a protest along with his mother In 2017, there was tension in Moghalrajpuram, Vijayawada when supporters of Vangaveeti Radhakrishna clashed with the police who tried to stop Radha and his mother from going to Satyanarayanapuram and holding a press conference against derogatory remarks made by YSRC Trade Union leader P Goutham Reddy about the late Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga. The protests were started when in an interview with a Telugu TV channel, Goutham Reddy compared Ranga to a snake and implied that his assassination in 1988 was inevitable. This upset Radhakrishna, who was a member of YSRC, and his mother. They left their home in Madhu Chowk, Moghalrajpuram, to hold a press conference at Food Junction in Satyanarayanapuram, which was close to Goutham Reddy's house. Radhakrishna and his mother, Vangaveeti Ratnakumari, were arrested to prevent any unrest, but they were eventually released. • Vangaveeti Radha Krishna is an Indian politician who is known for being the son of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao, who was a politician from Andhra Pradesh and a member of the Indian National Congress. Radha Krishna won as a MLA from Vijayawada East Constituency in 2004.

• When he was born, his parents named him after Ranga’s brother Vangaveeti Radha Krishna, who was murdered in 1974.

• In 2019, when Radha Krishna joined the ruling Telugu Desam Party, the followers and family members of the late Vangaveeti Ranga took to protest at the Ranga statue in Raghavaiah Park. Vangaveeti Narendra, son of Vangaveeti Narayana Rao, a brother of the late leader, protested against Radha for leaving YSR Congress Party and joining the TDP. Later, the police stopped them from protesting but addressing the media Narendra said that Radha joining the same party that was responsible for his father’s death was not right. He added that Radha was repeating the same mistake made by his mother.

• In 2021, on the death anniversary of his father, he made comments which led to controversy. He claimed that someone was planning to kill him. In an interview, he said,
  

  I am telling those who think that I have done something wrong.. I am saying to those who see that let’s kill him.. No one can do anything to him.. There is no need to fear anyone.. As the son of Ranga, I will remain in the people.. Soon I will know who are the people who have decided to harm me.”

  After his comments, the state government offered him security cover, but he refused to take it and said that his supporters would save him.

• On 16 August 2023, it was reported that Radha Krishna is set to get married to Jakkam Pushpavalli from Narsapuram, West Godavari district. She is the daughter of the former municipal chairperson of Narsapuram, Jakkam Babji.
