Controversies | Threatened Vegetable Vendors In 2016, again he got trapped in a controversy, in which the President of Ghazipur Vegetable Association, Surendra Goswami filed a written complaint against him for threatening few vegetable vendors in Delhi. ‘Talk to AK’ In January 2017, CBI registered a preliminary enquiry (PE) against him, as CBI had alleged him for violating rules and regulation during a media campaign ‘Talk to AK,' which was a talk show similar to Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat.' Irregularities in Excise Policy 2021-22 On 19 August 2022, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided the premises of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in connection with the alleged irregularities in the State government's previous Excise Policy. In July 2022, Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena had recommended a CBI probe into the revamped Excise Policy after it was found that the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 had alleged violations and procedural lapses which caused a loss of over Rs 150 crore to the exchequer. According to the CBI, Sisodia did not cooperate in the investigation and gave evasive replies despite being confronted with evidence to the contrary. The court, however, asked Sisodia to submit his passport and also told him not to try and influence the evidence seeking a favourable outcome. Snooping case On 14 March 2023, the CBI fild an FIR against Manish Sisodia and named him as primary accused in connection with allegations that a special feedback unit (FBU) created by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in 2015 illegally snooped on political rivals and government officials; Sisodia was the minister-in-charge of the vigilance department. The FIR was filed under provisions of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act. - He belongs to Shahpur Fagauta village in Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh; however, he completed his higher education in New Delhi.
- After completing his diploma in Journalism, he worked as a radio jockey at All India Radio in July 1996, where he hosted the ‘Zero Hour’ show. In 1997, he joined Zee News, where he worked as a reporter, news producer and news reader. Later, in 2005, he left Zee News.
- Before getting into politics, he and Arvind Kejriwal knew each other for 12 years.
- In the early 2000s, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia founded a non-profit activism organisation named ‘Parivartan.’

He is the first person in the history of 75 years who worked for the education of poor people. Across the entire country, the respected and the honest are put behind the bars.
