Gur Sidhu is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer who is popularly known for his Punjabi songs. Sidhu has collaborated with various Punjabi artists for albums and single tracks.

He moved to Canada at the age of 19 where he worked at a plastic factory for an initial couple of days.

Sidhu’s grandfather, Harnek Singh, a government Punjabi teacher who was into music, motivated him to make a career in the music industry.

While he was a student, he used to be a part of the school choir wherein he used to play the harmonium.

In an interview, Gur Sidhu said had he not become a singer, he would be a video maker.

Sidhu doesn’t know how to swim, which is why he considers deep waters his biggest fear.

His debut song Sarkaare, which was written by Amrit Ghudda, was based on a political message.
