• Dasharathaiah Sudhakar is an Indian politician. He is the cabinet minister in the Government of Karnataka and a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from the Hiriyur constituency on the ticket of the Indian National Congress.

• In 2004, D Sudhakar contested the legislative assembly elections from the Challakere constituency in Karnataka on the ticket of the Indian National Congress and won. He was re-elected as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from the Hiriyur constituency in 2008 and 2013.

• D Sudhakar served as the minister of youth affairs of Karnataka from 2010 to 2011. He then served as the minister of social welfare from 2008 to 2009 during B. S. • In September 2023, he came into the limelight when the Yelahanka police began an investigation after a video showed D Sudhakar threatening people in a property dispute went viral on social media. He was then charged with breaking the law including the SC/ST Atrocities Act and trespassing. According to a complaint on 10 September 2023 by Subamma, D Sudhakar and a group of over 35 people came to the disputed property on 9 September 2023. They forcefully entered and tried to demolish a building when nobody was home.
