- Vishwajeet Pradhan had a passion for acting since he was a child.
- While studying in college, he began performing in theatre plays. In 1991, he shared the stage with Naseeruddin Shah in the theatre play ‘Julius Caesar.’
- He was widely praised for his role in the theatre production ‘Kothri No.42.’
- In an interview, he disclosed that after he finished his school education in Meerut, his parents decided to send him to Prayagraj to prepare for the IAS exam. - After making his television debut with the TV series ‘Fauji’ (1988), he appeared in the TV series ‘Indradhanush’ (1989) in which he played the role of Joseph. The TV series was broadcast on the channel DD National.
- He appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the English-language telefilm ‘In Which Annie Gives it Those Ones’ (1989), written by Arundhati Roy and Arjun Raina.

- While filming an action scene in the middle of the sea for the film ‘No Problem’ in 2010, Pradhan was encountered a fire accident. Initially, the crew members mistook it for part of the scene, but later they realized it was an accident. The actor ended up with several burns on his leg because of the fire.
- The actor encountered another accident during the shooting of the climax scene of the film ‘Rakta Charitra.’ In the scene, he was scripted to be shot dead, but an explosion occurred unexpectedly.
