ControversiesNamed as accused in several bomb blasts

Indresh Kumar was named as an accused in the twin Malegaon blasts in 2006 and 2008, the Samjhauta Express blast in 2007, Mecca Masjid blast in Hyderabad in 2007, and Ajmer blast case in 2007. He was questioned by CBI in relation to both the cases but he was later given clean chit by the courts. While Congress and other left-wing organisations claimed that he was a mentor of the group which carried out the blasts, he maintained his innocence throughout the investigation and claimed that it was an attempt to defame RSS through him and a conspiracy was planned by some politicians to take revenge from him.

Political comment after 2024 Lok Sabha elections

After the 2024 Indian general elections, he gave a statement that as per the rule of Lord Rama in democracy, the party which worshipped Lord Rama but got arrogant was stopped at 241 and the parties which did not ave faith in Lord Rama were stopped at 234. It was considered a reference to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and I.N.D.I.A. Bloc. Congress and other opposition parties claimed that there was no significance of his words. Later, he claimed that his reference was wrongly interpreted by the media as he meant that people of India had chosen Narendra Modi as their leader while opposition parties were out of power.
