Some Lesser Known Facts About Atul Limaye

  • In his early 20s, he worked as an engineer at a multinational company in Nashik. Later, he left the job and joined RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) to become a full-time strategist.
  • Thereafter, he started working as a strategist in western Maharashtra regions such as Raigad and Konkan. Later, he worked as a Prant Pracharak at Devgiri Prant, Marathwada, and north Maharashtra regions.
  • When the BJP came to power in 2014, he worked as a Kshetra Pracharak for Maharashtra and other states, such as Gujrat and Goa.
  • During his tenure as chief in the western region of Maharashtra, he did research to understand Maharashtra’s political landscape and the strengths and weaknesses of the BJP leaders and opposition.
  • Thereafter, he formed various research teams, study groups, and think tanks to address several issues in the policy-making of the government and solve the problems of religious minorities.
  • His policies helped the BJP deal with the Maratha reservation agitation in 2017 and the “Urban Naxal” issues in 2018.
  • In 2024, he was the brain behind the “Sajag Raho” voter awareness campaign, which helped him gather several volunteers across Maharashtra. This programme also helped the RSS communicate with the OBC community such as the Teli, Mali, Sutar, and Banjara groups.

  • In the same year, Limaye teamed up with BJP leader Nitin Gadkari, deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, and BJP leaders from Delhi to personally engage with various community leaders and assured them of adequate representation.
  • In 2024, amidst Manoj Jarange Patil’s pro-Maratha reservation agitation, Limaye reached out to the Maratha leaders and promised them that the BJP government supports the Maratha community and does not categorize them as OBCs.
  • He also promised the Maratha leaders that the BJP would pursue their case in the Supreme Court after getting elected to power.
  • In 2024, he hit the headlines for helping the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance win 234 of 288 seats in Maharashtra elections.
