• Azhar Iqbal, an Indian poet and storyteller, is famous for performing poems and shayaris at different poetry gatherings and cultural events. In 2023, he appeared in the comedy show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Sony TV, where he shared the stage with other poets and lyricists.

• He was born in Budhana, Uttar Pradesh, and later, his family relocated to Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

• On 2 June 2009, Azhar Iqbal started working at a private company called Satin Creditcare Network Ltd in Noida, India. He started as an assistant manager in the internal audit department. In February 2014, he received a promotion to become the manager in charge of secured lending operations.

• In 2015, Azhar Iqbal established the Harfkaar Foundation with the aim of promoting various forms of art including theatre, dastangoi (traditional storytelling), poetry, and more. He has also worked as a scriptwriter for Hindi and Urdu theatre plays.

• On 10 October 2022, Azhar launched his YouTube channel under his name. He uses this platform to share videos of his poetry and shayari performances.
