Controversy	Arrested in a Fraud Case In 2011, Bejoy and his family were arrested by the CBI officials in a fraud case and making fake documents for a loan of around Rs 5 crores. Bejoy had taken loan from Union Bank of India. He made fake papers on export bills and even siphoned off the money. When the CBI asked Bejoy's father about it, his father said Bejoy used to spend a lot of money on his ex-wife Juhi Babbar which resulted in a huge financial loss for his textile company, Minar International Ltd. However, Bejoy stopped paying the installments, and after several warnings, a case was filed against Bejoy and his family. ^[3]The Times of India While talking about the case in media, the CBI officials said, "We have found incriminating evidence in the form of documents from both these places which corroborate the bank’s allegations. The Nambiars not only forged export bills, but even made fake shipping and landing bills even though no export ever happened. We will now find out who all were the the people who helped them in this fraud.”

Some Lesser Known Facts About Bejoy Nambiar

Bejoy Nambiar is an Indian film director, story writer, film producer, and screenwriter. He is the ex-husband of Indian actor Raj Babbar’s daughter Juhi Babbar.

During his teens, he enjoyed watching films and listening to music.

While in college, he joined a theatre group Theatre Club of Bangalore. He even directed a theatre play named ‘Getaway.’

After completing his schooling, he enrolled himself in an engineering college. However, he dropped out in his first year due to severe bullying and ragging. ^[4]The Indian Express Later, his father asked him to do an MBA to join his family business. However, Bejoy wanted to make his career in film direction. So, after completing his MBA, he started working on his debut short film.
