- Jivisha Sharma was born into a conservative Punjabi family.
- Her father had hoped that a boy would be born, as he already had 2 daughters. So, he had already thought of the name Crazy. When Jividha Sharma was born, her parents named her Crazy first, but they later changed her name to Jividha after she complained that boys in her school often taunted her by calling her ‘crazy ball.’
- She liked studying and sports during her childhood. During her teenage years, she developed an interest in dancing, particularly Kathak.
- Her mother liked watching films, and Jividha often watched films with her. So, she also got interested in films.
- She later went to a studio for a photoshoot. The studio owner liked her photo and put it on the wall.
- A person associated with the South film industry once visited the studio, where he saw her photo and contacted her family.
- He later signed her for the Tamil film, Kaadhale Nimmadhi, starring Suriya, which released in 1998. She was in 8th standard at the time.
- Her father later told her to focus on education and complete her studies. Famous director Mani Ratnam wanted to cast her in a film, but her father politely declined the offer.
- After her 10th exams, she went on a trip to Mumbai with her family.
- During the trip, she auditioned for Subhash Ghai’s film Taal. It was her first audition. She passed and got a supporting role.
- While shooting for the song Taal Se Taal Mila, she was shooting in Lonavala. During one sequence, she was coming out of a pond when her leg slipped and she tore the ligament of her left leg. Doctors advised her against dancing or even walking.
- She shot the remaining song while spraying with painkiller spray, which amazed the choreographer Saroj Khan.
