Some Lesser Known Facts About Pratik Utekar

• After Pratik Utekar completed his 10th standard, he enrolled in a dance class and found his passion for dancing.

• He began his dance training at Shiamak Davar company and then worked there as a dance teacher for 3 years and later started competing in local dance competitions.

• In 2011, he appeared on a national-level dance reality show, Dance India Dance Doubles, for the first time. He participated alongside Swarali.

• During the auditions of DID Doubles, Pratik and Swarili were selected but were not selected by any team in the mega auditions; however, the grandmaster of the show Mithun Chakraborty chose them to be in his team on standby.

• Later, they appeared in the show as wild card entries.

• After DID Doubles, Pratik appeared in Dance Maharashtra Dance.

• In 2014, he appeared as an aerial artist on the BIG Life OK Now Awards (2014).

• Pratik Utera mentored Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee for season 6 of Nach Baliye who went on to become the runner-up of the show.

• In 2017, he appeared as a Head Choreographer on the Marathi dance reality Show ‘2 MAD’ on Colors Marathi.

• In 2017, he appeared alongside Amruta Khanvilkar in season 7 of Nach Baliye on StarPlus.

• He has also worked as a set designing Choreographer for the reality show ‘The Voice of India’ which premiered on &TV.

• He has also choreographed many award shows like ‘ZEE Gaurav Awards.’

• In 2020, he appeared as a mentor on the dance reality show India’s Best Dancer on Sony TV. He appeared alongside Mukul who went on to become one of the finalists of the show.

• In 2022, Pratik Utekar appeared in Dance Deewane Juniors as a choreographer with Aditya Patil who later went on to win the show.

• During one of the episodes of Dance Deewane Juniors, the choreographers and the participants were exchanged during which Pratik was paired with Ridhi, and they performed on the song Dholida from the Bollywood film Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022).

• The video of the performance went viral on social media, and Pratik and Riddhi gained much fame after that.

• Pratik Utekar has worked as an Assistant Choreographer for reality shows like Jhalak Dikhlaja, India’s Got Talent, and Dance India Dance Little Masters.

• Pratik has appeared has appeared as a super guru in season 1, season 2, and season 3 of the dance reality show Superdancers.

• In March 2024, Pratik Utekar shared a picture of himself with Dhanashree on his Instagram account. In the picture, Pratik is seen hugging Dhanashree which led netizens to slam Dhanashree and Pratik claiming that Dhanashree is married to Yuzvendra Chahal and should not post pictures with other men. Many also claimed that they were having an affair.

• Later, Pratik and Dhanashree deleted the picture; however, on 17 March 2024, Dhanashree posted a video on her Instagram account, claiming that Pratik was her friend and that people should be more respectful of others. She said,
  

  I have never in my life been affected by trolls or memes because definitely had a lot of maturity in ignoring or laughing it out loud until this very recent troll occurred. The reason it has affected me this time is because it has affected my family and my near and dear ones. Since you all have the freedom on social media platforms to speak your heart and characters out, you tend to forget or choose to ignore the sentiments of us and our families.” ^[1]The Times of India

• Pratik Utekar is a dog lover.

• Pratik Utekar has worked with many renowned Bollywood actors like Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, and Mouni Roy.

• Pratik Utekar considers Indian choreographers Geeta Kapoor and Shiamak Davar as his mentors.
