• Shazia Samji was born and grew up in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

• She comes from a family with a film background. Her father, Sajid Samji, and her uncle, Farhad Samji, are both renowned directors and writers known collectively as Sajid-Farhad in the Bollywood film industry. Together, they have written several famous Bollywood films, and five of their works have entered the Bollywood 100 crore club. 

• At the age of 3, Shazia began dancing and has since mastered various styles, including Bollywood, Jazz, and contemporary dance.

• When she was 17 years old, she began her training in hip hop and jazz funk.

• Samji rose to fame when she participated in Dance Plus Season 2, a dance reality show. On the show, she got noticed for her clean dancing moves.

• In an interview, Shazia mentioned that it was her grandmother’s dream for her to be on TV, so when she got to know about the Dance Plus Season 2 audition, she sent her video and got selected for the show.
