In April 2023, Luna shared a video on her Instagram account, in which she revealed that she was dependent on a life-sustaining machine while she was hospitalised in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
On 19 August 2023, hospital officials reported that she had contracted a bacterial infection after which she was removed from life-support machines.
