• Sulakshana Sawant is an Indian politician, social worker, and school teacher. She is the former President of the BJP Mahila Morcha, Goa.

• After completing her B. Ed., she started working as a chemistry teacher at Shri Shantadurga High School, Bicholim, Goa, on 14 June 2004.

• She was elected as the President of the BJP Mahila Morcha in March 2016. During her tenure, one of her main agendas was to get 33 per cent reservation for women in BJP. She then said that before the 2017 Goa polls, the reservation bill should have been passed in Parliament.
