Her father belongs to a reputed royal Chauhan family of Dallipur Estate in Pratapgarh, and her mother is from Dev Verman family of Tripura.

When she was studying in her school Mayo College Girls School, Ajmer, she got the national swimming scholarship from the Indian Sports Authority.

In her college Xavier’s, Mumbai, she performed in various theatre shows, and also won the intercollegiate beauty competition.

During her teenage, she was not sure about her career’s goal, but after coming to Mumbai, she developed an interest in modelling and acting.
